EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN

This Action Plan sets out the steps to take in the event of an incident or  accident. It should help those involved to take appropiate actions and ensure any casualties are given proper care in a timley and effective manner.

Any Two Islands Member who suffers a serious injury or illness should first be made comfortable and, if possible, moved to warm dry conditions. In certain situations such as fractures, it is advised not to move the casualty until specialist emergency services arrive.
  1. Appropriate First Aid should be applied by a competent first aider, if present.
  2. The Responsible Person should assess the situation and, if appropriate, immediately call the Emergency Services on 999.                                                                                                                                                                                 The post code for Two Islands is MK4 1JP  and directions are : “From Chaffron Way enter Loxbeare Drive then onto Lynmouth Crescent proceed to car park on left hand side.”
  3. A club member should be posted at Car Park entrance to direct the Emergency Services on arrival. Another club member should make ready, if needed, to accompany the casualty to hospital.
  4. The Responsible Person should then call the “In Case of Emergency” contact of the casualty to advise them of the situation and to ask for advice on any relevant medical conditions.
  5. The Responsible Person should inform the club chairman to advise them of the incident.
  6. The Responsible Person should take notes and collect any appropriate evidence or witness statements to support any required incident report.
