International One Metre

PictureIOMs in action at Two Islands
The International One Metre is the most popular model racing yacht in the UK and probably the World. As defined the boat is one metre in length and is a development class working within specified rules. It is a thoroughly enjoyable boat with amazing performance with many different designs available.

The boat can be purchased from a professional boat builder in the UK or indeed others around the World. But it can also be home designed and built.

The class is sailed regularly at Two Islands but there are also many events both within the Midland District of the MYA or around the Country at both regional and national levels. The class has a National Championship each year with regular entries of over 80 boats over a three day event.

See the calendar for details of the IOM races at Two Islands currently
